MIMS Online (NZ)

MIMS Online is a subscription only website that is suitable for use by New Zealand health professionals who have access to the Internet at work or at home.

MIMS is New Zealand's most widely used medicines information resource. It supplies data on all commonly prescribed and over-the-counter products available in the country.

Together with quick reference medicines information MIMS contains DrugAlert - a  reference-based interaction tool that allows  users to search for interactions between two or more  medicines.  Interactions are flagged for severity and level of documentation. Interaction details are displayed along with recommended actions and references.
MIMS Online contains New Zealand medicines information, identifying products that are funded by government subsidy, as well as common OTC medicines. It provides sporting and pregnancy status, hospital formulary coding, therapeutic guidelines, and therapeutic class overviews. MIMS Online is fully searchable by therapeutic class, generic or brand name. It also provides third party information such as government subsidy restrictions and consumer information datasheets. Institutional customers can also add their own information. MIMS Online is updated monthly.

MIMS Online is most widely used at hospital level.
